Horseshoe adrenal gland

An horseshoe adrenal gland is very rare anomaly. It is also sometimes called a butterfly adrenal gland, fused adrenal gland or midline adrenal gland.

It is the solitary adrenal gland that is present in the midline with the fused portion either passing between the aorta and the inferior vena cava or posterior to the aorta 4
