IgG4-related lung disease

IgG4-related lung disease is a recently described condition. It may occur with or without systemic involvement. It is considered part of the spectrum of IgG-4 related disease.

Radiographic features


On HRCT of the chest, it may be categorised into four major subtypes 5:

  1. solid nodular type
  2. round-shaped ground-glass opacities: showing multiple round-shaped ground glass opacities
  3. alveolar interstitial type: showing honeycombing, bronchiectasis and diffuse ground glass opacity
  4. bronchovascular type: showing thickening of bronchovascular bundles and interlobular septae
