The inferior laryngeal artery accompanies the recurrent laryngeal nerve into the larynx, where it anastomoses with the superior laryngeal artery to supply the muscles and mucous membranes of the larynx ¹.

origin: branch of the inferior thyroid artery
course: ascends the trachea to enter the larynx at the lower border of the inferior pharyngeal constrictor muscle
supply: laryngeal muscles and mucosa
termination: larynx
relations: recurrent laryngeal nerve
