Radiographic features
Ultrasound
They usually present as a well defined hypoechogenic splenic mass 1.
CT
Well defined hypodense splenic mass that, on postcontrast images, shows delayed heterogeneous enhancement. A central hypodense scar is recognised as a feature. Calcifications may be present 1.
MRI
- T1: low- to iso-intensity
- T2: bright signal within the central scar
- T1 C+ (Gd): delayed postcontrast enhancement
