Inhalational lung disease is a term given to a group of entities that develop secondary to the active aspiration of particles 1. There may some overlap with the term pneumoconiosis. Many but not all are occupational lung diseases as some may occur as some may occur as a repeated inhalational exposure to certain agent from non occupational (e.g. recreational) activities.
