Interdigitation of gyri

Interdigitation of gyri occurs when medial hemispheric gyri become interlocked across the interhemispheric fissure like the fingers of folded hands. This condition is usually seen in fenestrations or absence of the falx cerebri, such as observed in Chiari II malformation
