International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT)

The International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) is an organization established in 1959 to provide an international forum for radiographers and radiological technologists. Its primary focus has always been to achieve a betterment of radiographic work practice globally 1,2. It has an official role as a non-governmental organization (NGO) liaising with the World Health Organization (WHO).

History

In July 1959 at the 9th International Congress of Radiologists (ICR) held in Munich, Germany, the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists was founded. Its primary objectives were to effect a high level of education for its members globally and to share best standards of practice transnationally.
