Left subphrenic space

The left subphrenic space is a subcompartment of the left supramesocolic space located between the diaphragm, the anterosuperior surface of the left liver lobe, the diaphragmatic surface of the spleen and the anterosuperior surface of the stomach.

It is described to have anterior and posterior parts without clear delineation1.
