Mental nerve

The mental nerve is one of the two terminal branches of the inferior alveolar nerve, a branch of the posterior division of the mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve. It emerges from the mandibular canal anteriorly through the mental foramen and supplies the labial gingiva of the lower lip and the skin of the lower lip and chin.
