Online resources

Dr Craig Hacking et al.

Online resources can be used as references as the source of images/diagrams with certain provisions.

Images

Images are a great way of supplementing articles and cases, and in some instances these can be obtained from other sites and uploaded to Radiopaedia.org provided they are copyright free or in the public domain or with content licensed under creative commons CC-NC-BY-SA. Creative commons is a public copyright license that allows authors to release copyrighted material for distribution as long as certain conditions are met. See here for more details. Lots of good images and textbooks can be found at OpenStax College.

In all cases the exact provenance and license of these images must be included, to ensure appropriate back-tracking to the original file.

References

Generally online resources are frowned upon as references for articles or cases, with journal articles or textbooks preferred. Please refer to the article on references for more details.
