Patient's presentation section

The patient's presentation section in a case is designed to contain a simple one or two line statement describing the patient's presentation. This is used in quiz mode and helps to frame the case.

Patient demographics can be left to the patient data section.

Examples include:

  • sudden onset headache
  • chronic constipation
  • chronic cough, with recent weight loss

Don'ts

  • don't include the diagnosis
  • try not to be too obvious (e.g. 45-year old woman with calf pain, after a long flight, now presents with pleuritic chest pain)
