POLPSA lesion

POLPSA lesion is defined as posterior labrocapsular periosteal sleeve avulsion. It occurs when an Intact posterior scapular periosteum and posterior labrum becomes stripped off leading to redundant recess .

Pathology

Mechanism

Impingement of  humeral head on to posterior labrum and capsule due to recurrent subluxation or posterior dislocation.
