Polyposis syndromes

The polyposis syndromes are disorders in which more than 100 gastrointestinal polyps are present throughout the GI tract:

* approximately 25% cases of juvenile polyposis syndrome are familial with AD inheritance and 75% non-hereditary 4

Polyposis syndromes can also be classified into those with predominantly adenomatous polyps and those with hamartomatous polyps:
