Postpartum angiopathy

Although described as a separate condition, postpartum angiopathy is a subset of reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS). It is also known as postpartum angiitis and puerperal vasospasm. Please refer to the main article for a broad discussion on these reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndromes.

Its presentation is no different from RCVS although it can occur with preeclampsia / eclampsia, thus overlapping with the separate condition of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES).
