Pseudo Meigs syndrome refers to a clinical syndrome of pleural effusion and ascites associated with an ovarian tumor that is not a fibroma or a fibroma-like tumor.

Entities that have been reported to result in pseudo Meigs syndrome include

Krukenberg tumors
- colon carcinoma metastases to ovary 4
- struma ovarii tumor 8-9
- uterine leiomyosarcoma: rare
- uterine leiomyoma: rare 10
- ovarian teratoma: rare 5
Serology
Serum CA-125 can be elevated however is non-specific and is not a very useful marker for differentiation.
