A pseudopermeative process in bone has multiple small cortical holes that are then superimposed over the marrow, giving a similar appearance to a permeative process.

The most common pathologies that manifest with pseudopermeative appearance (and mimic permeative lesions) are:
- aggressive osteoporosis, e.g. from disuse
- haemangioma
- radiation
