The radioscaphoid angle is a useful measurement in the evaluation of carpal stability.
Measurement
The radioscaphoid angle is the angle between a line tangent to the volar aspect of the scaphoid and a line drawn through the center of the distal radius (2-5 cm proximal to the radiocarpal joint) 1-3.
Interpretation
An angle >60º is suggestive of subluxation of the scaphoid, related to carpal instability, which can be secondary from:
