History and etymology
Ottomar Ernst Felix Rosenbach (1851-1907), a German physician born in Prussian County in Silesia, graduated from medicine in Breslau in 1874. He moved to the city of Berlin in 1896, where he continued to pursue his medical practice and scientific activities, publishing numerous papers, monographs, and books across a broad scope of medicine 1.
