Skew foot is a rare type of flat foot described as a "Z" foot or serpentine foot. It is characterized by forefoot adduction and hindfoot valgus.

On standing radiographs the following features are seen:

abduction at mid tarsal joints with adduction of metatarsals ("Z" configuration)
first metatarsal base will typically lie lateral to the mid-talar axis

reduced calcaneal pitch
plantar flexion of talus
