Sutures in Foetal skull

There are mainly 4 sutures in a foetal skull of great obstetrical importance

1. Frontal suture: it is present between two frontal bones

2. Saggital suture: it is present between 2 parietal bones

3. Coronal suture: it is present between parietal and frontal bones

4. Lambdoid suture: it is present between the occiput and the parietal bones
