Triceps tendinopathy

Triceps tendinopathy is the least uncommon tendon injury of the elbow, and most commonly presents as rupture. 

Epidemiology

There is a male predominance 1.

Pathology

Triceps tendinopathy lies on a continuum from tendinosis, degeneration through to rupture 1,2. Rupture appears to be more common than partial tears/rupture (which are more common medially) and tendinopathy. Rupture most commonly occurs at the osteotendinous junction 2
