Upper zone

The upper zone is one of four arbitrary chest radiograph zones useful for describing the location of findings on a chest radiograph. Some radiologists consider the upper zone to include the apical zone

  • using the zonal terminology for the location of findings on CT is generally discouraged, as a more precise lobar +/- segmental site, can usually be reported
