A well-differentiated fetal adenocarcinoma (WDFA) of lung is a rare low grade lung tumour. Some consider this as a variant of adenocarcinoma with others considering this under the group of pulmonary blastomas 5.
According to classification by the World Health Organisation in 1999, it was removed from the pulmonary blastoma category and classified as a variant of adenocarcinoma 7.
It tends to present in younger patients (often young adults 3,4).
Pathology
Microscopically composed of neoplastic glands and tubules that resemble fetal lung.
