Meconium pseudocyst

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Palpable left upper quadrant mass. Past history of cystic fibrosis and meconium peritonitis.

Patient Data

Age: 5 months
Gender: Female

Barium

Barium study demonstrates a low density structure with rim calcification in the left upper quadrant.

ultrasound

Ultrasound shows this structure to be cystic with calcification of the wall and also shows evidence of echogenic bowel loops.

Case Discussion

These findings are in keeping with the history of cystic fibrosis and meconium peritonitis.
