History of sudden loss of consciousness and fall.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Non-contrast CT of the brain demonstrates intracerebral hemorrhage involving the left parito-occipital region as well as superior temporal lobe, which is heterogeneous and gyriform.

CT venogram was conducted which demonstrates a filling defect representing a thrombus in the left transverse and sigmoid sinuses with extension into the jugular vein. This confirms the diagnosis of cerebral venous infarction.
