Presentation

Two episodes of painless hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

B Mode shows a small anechoic area in the mid region. Color flow within anechoic space with aliasing. Very high-velocity low resistance waveform on spectral Doppler.

CT angio images rendered as maximum intensity projections confirm the diagnosis of an arteriovenous malformation. Normal contralateral kidney.
