Presentation

Dysnpnea, worse with exertion.

Patient Data

Gender: Male

Dynamic inspiratory CT image shows improved tracheal distance in the anteroposterior dimension, but there still is marked abnormality. There is marked difference between the two phases, which may be simulated if the patient exerts himself.

Case Discussion

This patient was being evaluated for suspected tracheomalacia. His history included leukemia, stem cell transplantation, and prolonged time spent on the ventilator.
