What are the known types of degeneration that uterine fibroids can have?
They can undergo several types of degeneration: hyaline degeneration: focal or generalised hyalinisation; cystic degeneration; myxoid degeneration; red/carneous degeneration.
Scout image shows popcorn calcifications within the pelvis.
Coronal reformatting shows large uterine mass with lobulated margins and multiple coarse calcifications.
The patient also has a large known hepatic haemangioma (not adequately show in this sequence) and partial right ureteral duplication.
