Presentation

Swelling and pain of the wrist, radiographs requested due to suspicion of rheumatoid arthritis.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Multiple juxta-articular intraosseous sclerotic foci are visible with a symmetrical distribution that represent bone islands (enostoses). No features suggestive of malignancy.
