Low back pain.
Patient Data
Minimal anterolisthesis of L3 on L4. Mild coronal asymmetry. Vertebral body height preserved. Narrowing of the intervertebral disc spaces. Multilevel facet joint arthropathy. Posterolateral L4-S1 fusion.
L4-S1 posterolateral fusion. Evidence of prior L4 and L5 transpedicular screws. Minimal anterolisthesis of L3 on L4, and L5 on S1. Mild coronal asymmetry. Vertebral body height preserved. Multilevel degenerative discs. Severe bilateral L3-4 facet joint arthropathy.
Case Discussion
An example of posterolateral lumbar fusion; the indication for this procedure in this patient is not known. Often performed with instrumented posterior fusion, of which this patient has had removed with screw tracks still seen at the L4 and L5 levels.
