ct

A well defined cystic space at the right lentiform nucleus. Small vessels course through this cystic space.

Well-defined lesion at the right lentiform nucleus which follows CSF intensity in all sequences. No restricted diffusion or blooming artefacts. No surrounding gliosis.

On T2 weighted and FLAIR sequences, perforating vessels course through this cystic lesion. Typical location and appearance for perivascular space.

Annotated image

Annotated images demonstrate the perforating vessel coursing through the perivascular space in both CT and MRI imaging modalities.
