Findings of gunshot wound right chest with bullet fragment in the right axilla, moderate right hemopneumothorax, small left pneumothorax, and right axillary subcutaneous emphysema.

Status post bilateral chest tube placement with resolution of right hemopneumothorax and left pneumothorax and development of right pulmonary contusion.
Case Discussion
In a patient presenting with penetrating trauma to the chest, the most likely etiology of pulmonary consolidation is pulmonary hemorrhage, i.e. pulmonary contusion or laceration. A CT was done and showed pulmonary contusion.
