Bony expansion of the calvarial and facial bones showing widening of the diploic space and coarse trabeculae.

Bilateral opacification of both middle ear cavities and mastoid air cells, in keeping with otomastoiditis.

Case Discussion

Known case of β-thalassemia major, showing a widened diploic space with coarse bone trabeculae due to bone marrow expansion, causing diffuse calvarial and facial bone expansion.
