Bilateral crescent-shaped frontoparietal subdural collection (maximum thickness 28 mm on the right and 23 mm on the left). It elicits a high signal intensity on T1, T2, and FLAIR sequences with internal septation and sediment of low signal on T2 and GE sequences, indicating a late subacute subdural hematoma (methemoglobin free).
Note symmetrical mass effect on the midline structures with no subfalcine herniation.
Case Discussion
MRI features of late subacute subdural hematoma (extracellular methemoglobin).
