Presentation

Routine screening study.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

Findings are highly suggestive of a multicentric left breast malignancy. There is a very large area of suspicious nonmass enhancement involving all quadrants of the left breast extending from 8:00 to 5:00, measuring up to 7.2 cm in CC dimension. The left breast is asymmetrically smaller than the right, with a "shrunken" appearance, which can be seen with invasive lobular carcinoma. There is abnormal enhancement that extends 1.0 cm posterior to the nipple on the left. There is no evidence of chest wall or dermal involvement. There are also several enlarged left axillary lymph nodes, consistent with metastatic disease. The largest left axillary lymph node measures 1.2 cm.

Findings are indicative of left breast invasive lobular carcinoma.
