Back pain. History of falling on the ground

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
ct

Decreased height and anterior wedging of the D12 vertebral body with retropulsion of its posterosuperior corner indenting the anterior aspect of the subarachnoid CSF space.

Degenerated D12-L1 disc with gas density inside (vacuum phenomenon).

Atherosclerosis of the abdominal aorta and iliac arteries.

Case Discussion

The appearance is typical for osteoporotic compression fracture.
