Decreased volume of the cerebral hemispheres with numerous cystic cavities of various size and shape within the cortex and white matter mainly of the frontal and temporal lobes, eliciting a low signal on T1 and FLAIR, high signal on T2 with no restricted diffusion. Ex vacuo dilatation of the lateral ventricles with intact ventricular walls. Atrophy of the corpus callosum. Preserved posterior fossa.
Right parietal subdural haematoma of high signal intensity on both T1 and T2 with internal septation of low signal on T2 and FLAIR sequences, indicating a late subacute subdural haematoma (methaemoglobin free). Small left parietal chronic subdural haematoma is also noted.
Small subgaleal occipital haematoma is noted.
