Pediatric talus body fracture

Discussion:

Pediatric talar fractures are extremely rare1, due to the mainly cartilaginous composition of this bone in children. This gives it a high elastic resilience 2. Neck fractures are the most common; followed by body fractures. Fractures of the talar head are usually secondary to dislocation of the midtarsal joint 3.
