The space between the 5th metatarsal bone and its proximal apophysis widens, accompanied by apophyseal fragmentation, at both sides.

Case Discussion

Regarding patient history, features are most consistent with Iselin disease, defined as apophysitis of the base of the 5th metatarsal and a benign and self-limiting condition.
