There is a mild free fluid in the ankle joint, and no injury involving:
the anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament (AITFL)
the posterior inferior tibiofibular ligament (PITFL)
the posterior talofibular ligament (PTFL)
However, the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) is ruptured with a posterior fiber retraction.
There is also an avulsion fracture at the tip of the lateral malleolus (best seen on T1 sequences), with associated bone marrow edema.
Bone edema around the lateral aspect of the calcaneocuboid joint, without associated lesions of the dorsal calcaneocuboid ligament.
No abnormality of the talocalcaneal joint. The sinus tarsi is unremarkable.
