Patient presented with left-sided hemiplegia.

CT scan demonstrates a hyperdense MCA sign on the right, with patchy low density seen in the right MCA territory. 

12 hours later

12 hours after the initial scan extensive MCA infarction is visible.

12 hours later still ...

12 hours later still 24hours since admission

24 hours after the initial scan you can see swelling, midline shift and bleeding.

12hrs later 36hrs post-admit

ct

36 hours after the initial scan and after craniectomy swelling, midline shift and herniation. The Patient died within hours after this scan.
