Left foot trauma and pain over the first metatarsal head on the plantar side.

Age: 30 years

There is an irregular and predominantly sagittal-oriented fracture line through the body of the lateral sesamoid bone. 

Case Discussion

Hallux sesamoid fractures are the commonest foot sesamoid fractures, with the medial sesamoid fractured more frequently than the lateral one 1.
