Nearly symmetrical T2 / FLAIR hyperintensities with diffusion restriction are seen involving bilateral globi palladi.
Case Discussion
In view of symmetrical involvement of bilateral globi palladi, the possibility of a metabolic / toxic insult was considered.
On further questioning, the patient was found unconscious while taking a shower with the geyser on, confirming the diagnosis of gas geyser syndrome or carbon monoxide poisoning.
