Spigelian hernias are lateral ventral abdominal wall hernias which can result in herniation of abdominal contents between the muscle layers. Irreducible hernias may result in bowel obstruction and ischemia.

The patient underwent timely surgery with reduction of hernia and resolved bowel obstruction.
