Provisional diagnosis of Hydatid cyst and Biliary cystadenoma were considered. Histopathology revealed biliary cystadenoma

Case Discussion

Ultrasound confused me a lot, and I could not make out nature of mass. In fact, it was difficult to assess if its intrahepatic or a large epigastric cystic mass closely abutting liver like a large pseudopancreatic cyst. CT showed the intrahepatic lesion with close characteristics of biliary cystadenoma, but I preferred to give a differential of hydatid cyst. This case was operated and confirmed biliary cystadenoma on histological diagnosis.
