There is a moderately sized area of hemorrhage abutting the dilated left lateral ventricle.
Case Discussion
This is a case highly suggestive of a grade IV germinal matrix hemorrhage given the patient's gestational age and imaging findings.
Due to the extent of the hemorrhage, the patient was transitioned to comfort care and passed at 11 days old.
