Case Discussion
The patient presented with signs of acute large bowel obstruction, which is confirmed on a standing plain x-ray. On examination of the patient, a strangulated hernia noted which was surgically repaired.
Large bowel obstruction is suspected if bowel diameter exceeds 6 cm, or cecum more than 9 cm and multiple air-fluid levels.
