Periosteal sleeve avulsion fracture of the patella and Osgood Schlatters disease
Presentation
Knee pain for 8 months. Footballer.
Patient Data
Focal cortical elevation at the lower pole of the patella with development of a vertical cleft.
Note minimal surrounding edema suggesting injury is not "acute". There is also edema in the tibial apophysis consistant with co-existent Osgood Schlatter disease.
