Presentation

Knee pain for 8 months. Footballer.

Patient Data

Age: 14 years
Gender: Male

Focal cortical elevation at the lower pole of the patella with development of a vertical cleft.

Note minimal surrounding edema suggesting injury is not "acute".  There is also edema in the tibial apophysis consistant with co-existent Osgood Schlatter disease.
