Basilar tip aneurysm double balloon remodeling

Incidental finding when investigated for headache.

Patient Data

Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Aneurysm endovascular Rx

Diagnostic angiography demonstrates a posterior projecting 8mm basilar tip aneurysm with broad neck, encroaching on both P1 segments but more-so on the left.  Tortuous left vertebral artery directly off arch (not shown).

Coil embolization performed using:

  • 6F Envoy guide catheter RVA &  5F Envoy LVA
  • SL-10 angled microcatheter
  • 4 * 7mm Hyperform balloons to each PCA, inflated each coil deposition
  • Synchro microguide wire
  • Coils
    • Hydroframe 7 * 15
    • Hydrosoft 5 * 15 & 3 * 8
    • Hypersoft 2.5 * 6
