Typical lesion of osteochondritis dissecans on the lateral aspect of the medial femoral condyle in September 2011.  Substantial edema in the bone marrow of the medial femoral condyle especially deep to the dissecans fragment but no fluid tracking beneath the fragment to indicate separation (ie no features of instability).

OCD lesion treated conservatively with almost complete healing in 9 months. Note overlying articular cartilage has always been intact.
